These classes are perfect for kids and are all about learning essential kitchen skills—from knife safety and chopping vegetables to preparing a full meal, starter to dessert, with plenty of delicious treats along the way. Teaching your child to cook from a young age is a valuable and rewarding skill that will grow with them as they grow.
Cooking and baking help children to develop important life skills such as reading recipes & instructions, using maths to measure, and understanding the importance of good food to help them grow healthy and strong.
As always, my focus is on nourishing healthy food, looking at ways to make cooking fun and nutritionally rewarding, while learning lots of fun tips and tricks along the way.
Learning to cook can also help children develop a healthy relationship with food and make better food choices. They get to try new foods and develop a taste for a variety of different flavours and textures. This can lead to a more balanced varied diet, which is key to good overall health.
My Children’s Cookery Camps are held during mid term breaks and summer holidays. Watch my Instagram and this website for details of upcoming dates. There may be weekend classes from time to time.
Classes start at age 8, with a maximum of 10 children per class. Children get a recipe booklet to take home, along with all food they make on the day.
